You take a medicaton called Triazolam about an hour before your appointment. It does not bring about complete unconsciousness, but you’ll be indifferent to your surroundings. You’ll need a ride home when the procedure is finished.
IV Sedation
IV sedation uses medications similar to those used in surgery and results in true sleep dentistry. Most patients are unaware to what is occurring in their mouth. IV sedation is often used for root canals, wisdom teeth extractions, and multi-procedure smile makeovers. You’ll need a ride home after IV sedation, too.
